Vignamaggio is an historical wine estate with production and selling of wine since 1404. It is situated in Tuscany, in a privileged position in the hills between Greve in Chianti and Lamole, in the heart of the Chianti Classico.
Upon request we organize tastings of wine and other typical Tuscan products, in addition to cellars visits.
Guided tours and wine tasting
Guided tours of the gardens and cellars are organised daily upon reservation, normally in the morning around 10.30 and in the afternoon around 3.30. They last about an hour and a half.
We propose 4 kinds of visits and/or tasting:
- CLASSIC TOUR of the Italian Garden and Cellars (without tasting).
Cost is 10 Euros per person.
- TASTING EXPERIENCE – TOUR & Guided Tasting.
Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva, Vinsanto , ExtraVirgin Olive Oil, salami from the “Antica Macelleria Falorni”, a selection of local cheese, tuscan bread and cantucci are offered during the tasting.
Cost is 25 Euros per person .
- TUSCAN LUNCH - Tour & lunch with guided Tasting
3 red wines (Chianti Classico and Riserva “Castello di Monna Lisa”, IGT), Vinsanto, Extra virgin Olive Oil, combined with a selection of typical Tuscan dishes, prepared only with fresh local products by our chef.
Cost is 55 Euros per person.
- SUNSET DINNER – Tour & Dinner with guided Tasting. The wines included are: Chianti 4 4 red wines (Chianti Classico and Riserva “Castello di Monna Lisa”, IGT) , Vinsanto, Extra virgin Olive Oil, combined with a selection of typical Tuscan dishes, prepared only with fresh local products by our chef.
Cost is 62 Euros per person.

Dinner is served every night except Tuesdays and Sundays. Our wine bar “Le Scuderie” is open daily for lunch.
The gardens and the cellars are not normally open to the public; they can only be visited with a guided tour.
Our wine estate covers an area of 160 hectares, situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico district, in the municipality of Greve in Chianti.
52 hectares (=128 US acres) of the estate are occupied by vineyards and there are eleven hectares of olive-groves.
Various kinds of wines are produced at Vignamaggio; among these are: 2 vintage wines, Ch. Classico Riserva, IGT wines (Super Tuscans), Vinsanto and Grappa.
Obviously not to forget is the extra virgin olive oil, made with hand picked olives, cold pressed, according to tradition; it is the perfect complement of the Tuscan table.
Our wines are frequently mentioned in the specialized wine magazines, like GAMBERO ROSSO, DUEMILAVINI AIS, I VINI D’ITALIA DE L’ESPRESSO, Wine Spectator, The Wine Advocate e Decanter and are often listed among the best.
The Wine shop with wine and oil tasting is open every day from 10.30 to 6.30 p.m.
